Stephanie, Lillian Walker is alive and well! She's in some of the photos and looks great! Notice: Lillian, Brenda, Carol holding the enlarged lp cover. She also went with Brenda in May to tape a PBS Special that will begin airing in December. Carol Johnson is also in the pics too! Herb is no longer living, but also in the pics are some of Brenda's kids-- her son on piano and her daughter is in some as well. |

Of the three ladies, it is Carol who is no longer with us. She died on May 7, 2007, aged 62. |

OK then, who is the other woman in the photo with them that has no hair and is wearing blue and standing where Carol would be? Look at the gallery on the site and you will see as they are holding a blown-up lp cover. |

Ok I saw the pics at home great stuff! Listen I went to look up Jimmy Clanton to see if he was still around and he is. However I clicked on appearances and under the groups it says Exciters - Lillian Walker! Does she have her own group of Exciters? Steph http://www.jimmyclanton.com/Ap pearances.html |

Lilian does not have her own group of Exciters. She performs in an act called "The Super Girl's Group" which also features Louise Murray of the Hearts and Margaret Ross Williams of the Cookies. There are times when the group performs, a promoter will label it in a misleading way as if all three groups are appearing. |

Marc, Thank God! I was hoping that these two didnt get into some squabble over the Exciters that would have broken my heart. I knew something wasnt right. |

I bought the 45 "He's Got The Power" with a silver dollar & it was a big hit on Miami Pop radio. I thought it was a big hit everywhere as it was the follow up to "tell Him" .Years later I found out it didn't crack the top 50, which is amazing to me. It was Ellie Greenwich first record as a writer, I think. The whole "Tell Him" LP was good. |
