Rufus featuring Chaka Khan was the second concert I ever witnessed (Ben E. King being the first). Belmont Park in 1980 for the low price of...drum roll please....$2. At one point I thought that Chaka was singing directly to me, only to find out that a fight broke out right behind me. I was so fixated on Chaka, that I didn't notice anything else. LOL!

Forgot about Rick James and the Isleys (who I heard wasn't too good live anyway).
I saw Dr. John at Monmouth University back in like 1998 or 1999. Autographed two albums for me. One sported a cover that was designed by his then brother in law (Destitively Bonnaroo).

Never saw the Beatles live. As a teenager, I would have died and went to heaven. (Was so enamored of George.)

I've seen most of the Motown acts when they visited the UK in the 60s and 70s, but somehow I missed out on the Isley Brothers and Jimmy Ruffin.

I also never got to see Rose Royce.
