Faye was there as a guest of the Group and was recognised by so many people and gave a wonderful bow when Helen introduced her to the audience. I also think it would be wonderful if there was a collaboration of 4 Degrees for a special CD! Maybe someone should suggest it to Kenny Gamble.

i've noticed that sometimes the link doesn't work. but, just try again later.
what a collection, uh ! i have about 80 % of the stuff too, but really, to make such a website is incredible. it's an exhibition.
i'm sure that even the ladies are surprised that there's so much memorabilia.

I found on a website this statement:

Trade winds was originally released by the Three Degrees in 1972 before Roberta Flack's version which was in store on March 7, 1972.

The Three Degrees already performed this song on Soul Train aired on January 29, 1972.

Is that true ???

Hoe gaat het met u,Gino? Yikes, that's me who wrote it!!! How did you get to Secondhand song site? By retrieving? Here's the link.
http://www.secondhandsongs.com /forum/index.php?topic=22472.0

Now that you mentioned it, I'd also like to ask you guys here about the release date of Tradewinds.
Can anyone remember or know about it?

Just searching in Google. Great, it's you ! Nice to read all the answers. Also, that the ladies sang it on the Soul Train Show ! I wonder if anybody of the members here ever saw that episode.

Original Air Date:29 January 1972 (Season 1, Episode 18).
Plot Outline:
The Impressions perform "Ain't Got Time" and "Love Me".
Merry Clayton performs "After All This Time". The Three Degrees performs "There's So Much Love", "Maybe" and "Trade Winds".

This is footage I like to see before I'm dead.

I think they ran a series of this show for pay-per-view satellite broadcasting over here in Japan quite a few years ago. If they aired it from scractch, the episode would have been seen here and somebody should have recorded it. Unluckily I was not able to watch it then. I hope someone will put it on youtube for us.

BTW, the website by a french guy is really well-organized and I wonder why I haven't found it so far. Thanks to Gino for letting us know about it.

I was never a big fan of this group but I did enjoy their vocals on early Philadelphia International sound. In fact I have their first album they recorded from the company which I bought back in 1975. I have to say my favorite line up is with Fayette. I've come to enjoy the many clips from YOUTUBE with Fayette as a member. Not only is she beautiful she had the voice and stage presence to go with her package. I never got to know why this woman was dismissed from the Three Degrees. Can someone explain why she left or was dismissed. I remember when she left and after she left I lost interest in the group.

I want to also say that Sheila is sensational and Valerie to this day looks and sounds great! Again I've come to enjoy and appreciate this group of ladies including Helen and Cindy(?). They have surpassed many female groups with their staying power and continue to possess their glamorous look. Continue doing the great job you're doing Three Degrees.
