I luv this comment @ The Three Degrees' forum : "How cool are they! Was in a club at the weekend, and the DJ put on "Givin Up, Givin in" and it just set the whole club alight! A whole 6 mins of pure power and NRG, YOU HAVE TO RE-RELEASE THIS TRACK AND ITS MIXES! Love, A new found fan X" Well, that proves a lot ! |

Kimmel Center - Jerry Blavat addressed the issue of the Three Degrees in his column: "I noticed that the Three Degrees did not perform. Is there any chance they will be on a future bill? — Noah S. The girls primarily work in Europe, so one of the problems in booking them is their availability. The specific problem we had at the Kimmel is that they were booked for the Jan. 26 show, but had last-minute scheduling problems getting out of London in time to make the show. We’ll keep you posted on their next availability." http://www.atlanticcityweekly. com/view.php?id=8156&issue_id= 220 |

New to this thread. Does anyone know what Fayette is up to these days? I thought she had a great voice. I never knew why she left the group? |

As far as I know, and if not, somebody PLS, correct me... Fayette sings in a church choir and works in the social work field. She also made a solo record called "One Degree". And, the ladies saw eachother back during "Unsung Hero Award Honorees 2007" except Sheila, pitty... |

Gino....thanks for the update on Fayette. I had the tape of "One Degree". My favorite song was something about leaving a light in the window. Wish I had that tape on CD now. All my tapes are gone now. Thanks. BND |

Wow, I haven't taken part in this thread yet but I had always called the Three Degrees the Philly version of the Supremes. And Robbert, Mary said that? What? LOL Dag, talk about playa-hatin'. |

And don't forget Fayette. She looks lovely in this picture and I am very glad she also got the recognision she deserves, for also being a major part in the 70's, and top days, of the Three Degrees. What a joy to see her! |

A wonderful lady and a wonderful talent too - still beautiful and glamorous after all these years and, as you quite rightly say Harry, a major part of this Group and a major factor in their huge success. Always loved and always admired too - I am proud to call her my friend. J xxxx |

MOM They have always been more popular in the UK, Japan, Holland, Belgium, Germany, and the Middle East. It was stated in a few books like the one on the Philly Sound that they weren't soulful enough for blacks in the states as they incorporated a lot of showtunes and other standards in their show back in the day. I do not think they can be classified in one genre so its safe to say that they are a Pop act as their hits were R&B, Soul, Pop, and Disco. I hope that helps a portion of it. |

Hi, guys. I've been away from this forum so long but it's good to know it's still active. Since I'm sure you know much about 3D, I'd like you to ask you this. The song The Rose Garden ends with a unique arrangement of a blasting sound in the middle of a song. What's this supposed to mean? How do you interpret this presentation? I've uploaded it for you to listen just in case. http://www.zshare.net/audio/10 331737cbc9e147/ Incidentally the song continues to Stardust. |
