Mr MOM you are hilarious. I do know of a Intruders group in DC though so that is true. However thanks for the reply. I appreciate. I am cracking up over here. But you are right it should be about history though the Phyllies Intruders were started by an original Intruder from what I was told by Dean. But everyone has a story and feels their story is valid and they are entitled to something. That is not directed toward you Dean, that is just a general statement. Some are valid and some are questionable but it is always like debating apples and oranges. |

Great news regarding that pathological liar Virgil Ginyard. It boggles the mind for anyone to think he was ever an Elgin; his age alone would have been a dead giveaway. He's not on any of the videos of the group on youtube and when my cousin was alive, I had him ask around and no one had ever heard of him and my cousin recorded for Motown! He's probably never been to the city of Detroit either! LOL!
As far as the other Intruder groups, I never had a problem with the other Intruder group. Just last week, I remembered an incident @ 1995 when Eugene Daughtry (an original member) came to the Champagne Supper club during the Friday Night Oldies and introduced his line up of Intruders. I don't remember who the guys were but I distinctly remember the event and it's quite possible that TheDream was with him. If that's the case, then there should have not been any animus against Daughtry's Intruders since he had the right to form his own group. However, if the case has been settled in court, then "it is what it is". Hopefully, TheDream will start his own thread as I am almost certain that he will have an intelligent and candid response. |

Didn't know that Billy Paul was performing at Susquehanna Day. I called my state rep's office and was told it was Jean Carne & Harold Melvin's Blue Notes so I opted not to go as I had just seen Jean Carne at a Christmas Concert. Dang!

Saw on the news this morning, that the show was rained out. That answers that question.
Also,I hope to see you THURSDAY, at the legends tribute. It should be a very nice affair, plus interesting.(smiles)

Mom, my buddy, Pat, saw Eddie Levert @ 17th & Chancellor the next day and when she passed him she said, "You look like Eddie Levert,........you ARE Eddie Levert!" He was with a much younger lady with a small child. (I know you can't replace children but I hope he has/had more.) |

THAT WAS HIS DAUGHTER AND GRAND CHILD I WAS AT THE A BAR B.QUE ON SAT BEFORE THE DELL AND THEY WERE THERE AT THERE ROAD MANGER JO JO HOUSE ON VINE STREET. SO THAT"S TRUE. THE BIG COVER ARTIST CABARET CAME OFF GREAT AFTER A HOT HOT START AND JUST LIKE THE ONE'S BEFORE THIS IT WAS OFF THE CHAIN DJ GODFATHER FROM HARRISBURG PA TURNED IT OUT PEOPLE ON THE FLOOR ALL NIGHT. A GREAT TIME WAS HAD BY ALL.HATS OFF TO BIG RUSS AND SERENITY THE GREAT SHIRL AND HER SHEER ELEGANCE,AND WAS VERY INPRESS BUY THE REFERENCE POINT BAND FROM SOUTH JERSEY..NEXT UP BIG CHRIS GODFERY CABARET SHOW AND DANCE ON SAT AUG 7TH AT CONCILIO BALLROOM 7TH AND FAIRMOUNT AVE.STAY TUNED

hey philly the cover artist's cab last weekend turned out great started out a little hot hot but as always ti turned out fine.big russell gord and serenity did a fine job was very entertained by the reference point band and ms shirl harris and her sheer elegance stole the show agin and the DJ godfather from harrisburg had them on the floor.another great cabaret by the cover artist.big will,bobby johnson,ted williams, and the man leroy stone.next up for them there last cab of the year in nov,6, with the mighty page-5 by demand sheer elegance.all directions,and funny man kenny ray walker. plus big thanks giving turkey and trimming give away. stay tuned. |
